FOSTER CITY, CA (September 14, 2006) – Digital Mountain, Inc. a leading national provider of electronic discovery and computer forensics services today announced that Richard Cheng joined their team as Senior Manager of Computer Forensics & Electronic Discovery.  Richard has over 16 years of experience in various aspects of information technology (IT). Prior to joining Digital Mountain, Richard worked for Kroll in its High Technology Investigations & IT Consulting Group where he conducted and supported assorted investigations, including the misappropriation of intellectual property and network intrusions, as well as performed computer forensics and electronic discovery. Richard is skilled in areas such as IT governance, risk management and network design and architecture. Prior to Kroll, he directed global IT operations at The Brattle Group, an economic consulting firm. Richard also managed the information technology and telecommunications infrastructure for the biotechnology company Alkermes. Richard holds two Master of Science degrees from the University of New Haven in Forensic Science (with a concentration in Advanced Investigations) and National Security and Public Safety (with a concentration in Information Protection and Security). Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Richard has earned a Professional Certificate in Computer Forensic Investigation, a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), and a CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor). He is a member of the High Tech Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM).
