FOSTER CITY, CA (January 1, 2009) – Digital Mountain, Inc., a leading national provider of Universal Discovery ManagementTM  solutions including electronic discovery, computer forensics and a next-generation Web-based platform FileQuest®, announced the release of v2.01 of FileQuest. The latest release offers eight different functional roles for collaboration across both litigation and risk management cases without having to worry about servers, storage or backup administration. The newest roles added to FileQuest include Early Case Assessor, Expert Consultant and Expert Witness functionality. These roles augment existing capabilities prior to v2.01 including System Administrator, Case Administrator, 1st Level Reviewer, 2nd Level Reviewer and Quality Control Reviewer. Among other noteworthy enhancements, v2.01 enables the ability to block the upload of files contained in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) National Software Reference Library Reference Data Set or standard computer configuration profiles provided by corporate America preventing system and application files from entering FileQuest. This enables cost savings to customers by reducing the data to be processed.

By providing a wide range of roles and privileges, Digital Mountain is able to provide discovery on-demand to its customers who are challenged with molehills to mountains of data in litigation and risk management matters. “FileQuest empowers users in both small and large cases with easy-to-use workflow and the ability to turn off and on different roles at a click of a button. Our dynamic user interface enables a more effective and efficient approach to managing data without having to worry about servers, storage or backup administration”, stated Julie Lewis, President and CEO of Digital Mountain. “With the recession, our SaaS-based approach enables us to quickly respond to our customers without the upfront costs and headaches of enterprise solutions.  We maintain throughput with grid computing while providing our customers with the control they seek and the simplicity they desire with only a Web browser needed.”
