Catalano will be joining their Advisory Board effective immediately. Mr. Catalano serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Litigation Counsel for Union Bank of California in San Francisco. He manages delivery of all litigation related services to the national bank with more than 11,000 employees, 350 branches and $55 billion in assets. Previously, he was General Counsel of Bay View Capital Corporation [NYSE:BVC]. He is the Chair of the Litigation Committee of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America, and is the immediate past president of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Association. He is also a member of the Financial Institutions Committee of the State Bar of California.
Mr. Catalano has successfully handled numerous complex litigations and legal investigations that relied on analyzing large volumes of electronic data and evidence. He spoke at the National Conference of the Association of Corporate Counsel in 2003 and 2004 on the topics, How to Avoid Common Traps and Pitfalls in Insurance Coverage and Claims, and End it Before it Begins, Litigation Avoidance Techniques in Today’s Business Environment.
