Director of Computer Forensics & Cybersecurity

Digital Mountain is a dynamic, Silicon Valley-based company in the high growth and fast changing area of computer forensics, cybersecurity and electronic discovery. We are seeking a Director of Computer Forensics & Cybersecurity to be part of our energetic, fun, collaborative and hard-working team. The company is privately held and has customers among the largest law firms, corporations and government organizations in the United States. Most travel is local.

Requirements

Technical Skills
  • Ability to edit and provide technical input on forensic reports
  • Strong technical experience working with desktops, laptops, servers and enterprise-level systems
  • An understanding of various Windows-based file systems
  • Background working with smartphones
  • Background working with different levels of RAID (0, 1 & 5)
  • Proficient in the use of EnCase, FTK, Axiom, Blacklight and other mainstream forensic tools
  • An understanding of proper data collection techniques and documentation
  • Must have the ability to learn new tools and technologies
  • Flexibility to work on electronic discovery matters when needed
  • Mac forensics experience is a plus
  • Linux and Unix experience is a plus
  • Solid working knowledge of Office 365 and electronic discovery workflow is a plus
  • Security log analysis and cyber experience is a plus

Background & Certificates Required
  • Minimum of five years of computer forensics and/or cyber experience
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • EnCE, CFCE or equivalent certification
  • Experience working on civil cases in a billable role is a plus
  • Expert witness experience is a plus
  • Law enforcement or investigative experience is a plus
  • History of providing presentations at industry conferences and/or tradeshows is a plus
  • Computer science degree is a plus

Performance Skills
  • Ability to manage several projects at a given time under tight timelines
  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts to lawyers in simple terms
  • Ability to work with clients in a consultative approach with flexibility on collection methods used based on the goals of the case

Requirements
Minimum Position Requirements/Experience
  • Cold calling potential clients to set up meetings for outside sales representatives
  • Responsible for making 60-80+ outbound calls per day with the goal of setting up 2-3 appointments per day on dedicated call days
  • Qualified candidates must be able to ask questions, overcome objections and use a consultative approach to set up appointments
  • May assist in proposal or engagement agreement responses
  • May field inbound sales calls
  • Salesforce.com experience for tracking is a plus
  • May assist in other ad-hoc administrative tasks and wear other “hats”
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing communications or equivalent experience
  • May be full-time or part-time depending on candidate, but Monday and Tuesday are required days

Manager of Software Engineering

Digital Mountain, an entrepreneurial Silicon Valley-based SaaS company, is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead our software engineering group for Version 3.0 and beyond. We are a leading provider of electronic discovery providing software and services on a national basis. The company is privately held and has customers among the largest law firms and corporations in the United States. We’re a highly dynamic environment and you will own the architecture, the management of the group, and be responsible for a significant percentage of the coding as well.


Experience and Education
  • 8-12 years of experience in Java, database and web development in a Unix/Linux environment.
  • Experience managing complete SDLC, including implementing appropriate processes for agile development and planning long-term projects.
  • Have worked on (and preferably designed) information retrieval or document management systems.
  • Experience working with SaaS-based applications.
  • BS/MS degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience at a successful, entrepreneurial startup and a larger company a must.

Technical Skills
  • 8+ years of Java and SQL development experience, as well as C/C++.
  • Experience with building fault-tolerant, scalable, collaboration-driven database back-end web applications.
  • Must have experience with Spring and Hibernate; knowledge of Tapestry a strong plus.
  • Development & administration experience in web servers (Apache), application servers (Tomcat, JBoss), and databases (Oracle & PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with clustered database environments and grid computing a plus.
  • Experience with BIRT reporting tools a plus.
  • Experience with SVN and GIT.
  • Ability to evaluate in-bound technologies for licensing from a technical standpoint.
  • Previous experience building or working with a team managing a data center also a strong plus.
